Music magazine Masthead Ideas
These are my ideas for my music magazine masthead, I chose these names as most of them relate to the genre I have chosen (indie rock).
1) NRG - this came to my head as it sounds like the word ‘energy’ its up beat and makes the magazine sound more of a
2) AMPLIFY – I chose this because amps are used in this genre of music.
3) CRUNK – this was just a simple idea for a magazine masthead as it is different and more of a rock magazine masthead.
4) THE NEWCOMERS – this idea is great as it could be meaning indie rock is a new upcoming genre in the world.
5) AMPED – again this word represents amps and the music sound, could mean big volume.
6) AMP VOLUME – this also represents amps and the music genre but a more louder one and more of a rock type magazine masthead.
From my ideas I have decided to use the title ‘THE NEWCOMERS’ as this genre of music (indie rock) is becoming more and more popular to listen to and is growing in the number of people buying this type of music.

Target Audience
At the moment I'm doing my school magazine and I have been thinking of my target audience, I have decided to aim my magazine at teenagers who are currently attending school.

Masthead
I'm currently doing my preliminary task for my masthead. A few of my ideas for a masthead are:
Knowledge - This represents what the pupils will get from going to the school.
Volume - Meaning big. Shows the school has a big status.
Aspire - To be the best that you can be.
Inspiration - To show that our teachers are approachable and inspiring.
Journey - It is to show that there time at the school will be a long journey and they will learn new things on this.
These were the five ideas that came into my head for a school magazine and I decided to use 'Aspire'. I like this name because it is short and catchy but means a lot. Its saying that the school is going to get the best out of you and make you into the best there can be. There to help you become what you want to achieve in the future.
